MOVIQ

Smart Move. Big Impact.

How can we bring more movement into our everyday working lives – naturally, intuitively, and without adding another task to our to-do list? This question sparked the original idea for MOVIQ at ID AID. Together with Interstuhl, we transformed this idea into an innovative balance board (Office-Tool) that seamlessly integrates movement into everyday office life. From the initial idea and product concept to the final design, our close and collaborative partnership resulted in a product that reflects our shared vision of a healthier, more active way of working. At a standing desk, MOVIQ gently encourages the body to move beyond static postures. Small balancing movements and subtle shifts in weight activate the body, bringing movement into the workplace exactly where it is often missing. All of this happens naturally, without a dedicated workout session and without interrupting the workflow.

But the idea goes beyond the workplace. MOVIQ is also a versatile fitness and movement accessory, ideal for balance exercises, Pilates, yoga, and bodyweight training. What starts as a smart companion for everyday office life becomes a true all-rounder, opening up new opportunities for movement beyond working hours. The design follows a consistently simple principle: as little as possible, as much as necessary. Its sporty, minimalist form communicates its function intuitively, requires no mechanical components, and blends naturally into modern working environments.

Made from expanded polypropylene (EPP), the balance board is robust yet exceptionally lightweight. Minimal material use, efficient manufacturing, durability, and material recyclability were integral to our shared design and development approach from the very beginning. For us, however, sustainable design goes beyond the choice of materials. Sustainability also means creating products that offer long-term versatility and make a positive contribution to people's everyday lives.

MOVIQ brings these ideas together: intelligent design, more movement, and fresh inspiration for a more active working day – and beyond.
